Kids on the Move’s Early Head Start program provides comprehensive support to children and families from pregnancy through age three. We serve families who qualify based on income, disability, foster care placement, homelessness, or other identified needs — with eligibility assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure every family receives the right support.

Whether you're studying Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or another field — or you just love working with little ones — volunteering with us offers hands-on experience, valuable skill-building, and the chance to positively impact the lives of children and families. Students in Early Childhood and Human Development programs may find this experience especially beneficial as it complements academic learning with real-world application.

Early Head Start is an amazing program dedicated to nurturing the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children from birth to age three. One of the most impactful ways you can get involved is by volunteering to provide free childcare for parents attending our monthly Policy Council meetings. These meetings are a vital opportunity for parents to come together, discuss program needs, and shape the future of our community.

If you're 16 years of age or older, we invite you to join our team! Under the supportive guidance of Kids on the Move (KOTM) staff, you'll have the chance to care for and engage with wonderful little ones while their parents focus on important discussions.

Early Head Start is an incredible program dedicated to nurturing the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children from birth to age three.

One of the most impactful ways to get involved is by volunteering to interpret discussions from English into Spanish during our Parent Workshops. This is a great opportunity for parents to learn about important issues, be trained on car seat safety, and more!  

As a volunteer interpreter, your role will be to convey the meeting discussions in Spanish for the parents.

Early Head Start is an incredible program dedicated to nurturing the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children from birth to age three.

One of the most impactful ways to get involved is by volunteering to provide childcare here at our center during our Parent Workshops.

This is a great opportunity for parents to learn about important issues!  

As a volunteer, your role will be to supervise and play with the children, under the direction and supervision of trained staff members, keeping the children safe while their parents attend their workshops.
